Summer is here and it’s the perfect time to kick back and enjoy a new book or two. Help keep your kids and yourself motivated by joining one of the summer reading programs in the area …

Chapel Hill Public Library is encouraging all ages to read at least 20 hours this summer. Download your log from their website and start recording those hours today.
Barnes & Noble
Kids in 1st through 6th grades can earn a free book in Barnes & Noble’s annual Summer Reading Program. Pick up a flyer at any local B&N location or download it on their website. Your child fills in 8 books they have read over the summer along with a favorite part about each book. Return the completed form by September 5th, 2017, to select a free book from those listed in the flyer.
And, while looking for something to do with your kids this summer, don’t forget about all the free events held at each of these locations year round. You’ll find weekly story times, special events, and more.
