Every year the St. Barbara Church hosts a Greek Festival in Chapel Hill. Yours truly didn’t get to attend this year, but, thankfully, we got a report in from a friend (thanks, Sandy!). So this blog can let you know it was a hit this year and you should check it out next year.
The Greek Festival is family fun: music, dancing, food, crafts for sale, as well as a $1,000 grand prize. And I don’t know about you, but I love Greek food so that seems reason enough to swing by for a visit.
This year saw the greatest number of first-timers, so it’s no surprise this was the biggest Greek Festival yet! And held at East Chapel Hill High School, this is probably close to you.
Cost is always low and reasonable to attend this event (this year was only $1) and all proceeds go to St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church.
Mark your calendars for next year’s event. It’s like taking your kids to Greece without leaving Chapel Hill.
