Arty the Mouse Scavenger Hunt

From Sarah C.:

Allison & I have both written on various reasons to visit downtown Graham. This past weekend, I learned of another – Arty the Mouse Scavenger Hunt!

Can you guess where this statue of Arty the Mouse is located?

Arty the Mouse is the mascot of the Alamance County Arts Council. When you visit the Captain White House to see the Art of the Brick, pick up a free booklet with the story of Arty to read to your kids and a pamphlet with the scavenger hunt map & clues. Eleven bronze statues of Arty are located all around downtown to help you explore and learn a bit about the history of the city. DH & I had already debated walking from the Arts Council to Graham Soda Shoppe for a milkshake. Searching for Arty made the walk even more enjoyable and kept D quite entertained.

To help you get started, be sure to pay close attention around the entrance to the Captain White House. You’ll also find Arty hanging out by the Children’s Museum. And who can blame him? That’s a great place to spend an afternoon as well!
