Updated: sadly all locations have now closed.
From Sarah C:
Earlier in the week I had an opportunity to visit Firewürst with a few other local bloggers and sample various menu items for free while we learned about their summer “10,000 for 10,000” campaign. If Firewürst can sell 10,000 hot dogs in July, they will donate $10,000 to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC to help feed local kids this summer. A good meal plus helping a good cause? It’s a win-win!
Firewürst is a local, family owned restaurant with 2 area locations. The menu features certified angus beef hot dogs & hamburgers, grilled chicken, and sausages as well as made-to-order slaws & salads. Have special dietary requirements? Firewürst offers vegetarian and gluten free items. My personal favorites were the Firewürst and the Bombay Veggie sandwiches. Find the full menu listed on their website (link below).
Wednesday night is kids’ night where kids 8 and under eat for free with the purchase of an adult meal. There are 6 different kids’ meal options. Each comes with the choice of french fries or apple slices, a cookie and a drink.
Parents with smaller children will also be happy to know the restroom facilities feature changing tables.
Hungry now? All Firewürst locations open at 10:30am so head on over to celebrate National Hot Dog month and help support the #StopSummerHunger campaign.
