From Sarah C:
There are numerous holiday parades offered throughout the Triangle area. One that has become an annual tradition for our family is Morrisville’s Winterfest Parade. We actually learned of it during it’s first year by accident thanks to a text message from a friend about 10 minutes prior to the start and literally ran through our then neighborhood to watch. Since then, I’ve marked the calendar so we are sure to make it.
The parade starts the fun each year with the route taking place along Town Hall Drive beginning at the Chamber of Commerce (near the intersection of Town Hall Drive and Morrisville-Carpenter Road). Find a spot along the street to watch as it continues to Treybrooke Dr.
Following the parade, head further down Town Hall Drive to the Cedar Fork Community Center. There, you can shop for gifts at the Holiday Craft Fair, pose for a photo with Santa, and get lunch from one of the many area food trucks in attendance.
The 2014 Winterfest Parade & Holiday Craft Fair take place this Saturday, December 6th. See link below for further details.
