Dix Park: Sunflowers

The City of Raleigh has relocated their popular annual sunflowers from the greenway to a larger site at Dorothea Dix Park. The new location is easier to access, allows for beautiful views of downtown, and is home to more flowers than the smaller previous location allowed.

Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended. There are designated parking areas throughout the park and all require a short walk to the sunflower field. Then you can freely roam the paths through the fields, enjoy the sunflowers, and take photos. Note that commercial film or photography will need permit and no one is allowed to pick the flowers.
